In early January we experienced an unseasonal cold snap, with daytime temperatures getting down to well below freezing (-7°C with a windchill of -12°C); during this time we also had a total snowfall of ±25cm over a couple of days, which remained for a while.
A fairly clear blue sky made for a lovely late afternoon walk on the Westerheide.
