Ellen & I were gifted a winetasting at a local vineyard and in late August we had our date at the Wijngaard Telgt, just outside of Ermelo. A small operation at just 1½ hectares, and clearly no ambition for the owners to operate at a larger scale (with a potential loss of quality) – it was certainly well worth the visit (just for the fact of a vineyard at this latitude!). We had a tour of the vineyard and the cellar, with an accompanying explanation of the operation; this was followed by the tasting of various wines.
